10 Best home remedies for cough


The cough consists of a sudden spasmodic contraction that causes a violent release of air from the lungs, which produces a characteristic sound.

1.- Garlic, water and sugar

Boil together 2 cloves garlic, chopped (or alternatively, half an onion), 1/8 Liter of water and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Once it’s ready, we’ll let it cool and we’ll take several tablespoons a day.

2.- Water and salt

Gargle with a mixture of water and salt repeatedly.

3.- Onion, water and chicken

Prepare a hot soup with chicken and onion. We can add more ingredients to improve the flavor but not too many.

4.- Seeds of anise and water

Prepare an infusion by pouring, over boiling water, 20 grams of crushed aniseed seeds. Cover and let stand for a quarter of an hour. After reheating the mixture, take a cup of the infusion three times a day.

5.- Thyme essential oil

Place a few drops of thyme oil on a pillow before sleeping.

To prepare the thyme soup, we boiled a branch of thyme for three minutes. Then add to the broth whole toasted bread, little salt and olive oil (if it is extra virgin better).

Pour a tablespoon of cinnamon, another ginger and 3 cloves in a cup of boiling water.

We remove the mixture and strain it. Before drinking, add a little lemon and honey that will provide vitamins to the infusion of vitamins.
