Why you should drink Apple Cider Vinegar before bed


Apple Cider Vinegar might not have the best taste but it can prove to be the most important item in your kitchen.

From weight loss, curing bad smell, cleaning the kitchen and yeast infections, apple cider vinegar helps a lot.

Bad smell

If you have bad smell, your mouth has accumulated a lot of bacteria. Add apple cider vinegar to your food or take a spoonful of ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) after each meal.

If the taste is too strong or bitter, dilute with a glass of water. Adding ACV to your food helps in digestion and cures bad breath caused by indigestion.

Alternatively, gaggle a glass of diluted ACV before bed to kill the accumulated bacteria in the mouth.

Yeast infection

If you are suffering from yeast infection, ACV provides a great home remedy.

Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with warm water and drink. Apple cider vinegar acts and kills accumulated yeast in the digestive tract.

Instead, prepare an apple cider vinegar bath for vaginal yeast. Mix ACV with bath water and sit in the water for 10-15 minutes. Consult the gynecologist if symptoms persist.

Weight loss

Apple cider vinegar promotes weight loss by preventing foods like starch from being turned into calories; it thus prevents accumulation of fat.

It has an ingredient called pectin and thus reduces appetite and leaves the brain feeling satisfied.

Incorporate it as a drink in which you mix it with warm water, honey and ginger or use it in your foods.

Treatment for sore throat

If you are suffering from cold and your throat is a bit raw and hurting, drink apple cider vinegar and it will go away. Mix it with warm water and drink until the sore throat dies down.

The bacteria cannot survive in the acidic coating or environment on your throat. For better results, incorporate ginger and lemons in your apple cider vinegar and you’ll be good in a few days.


Apple cider serves as a good disinfectant and removes mineral deposits and can be used to clean sink, kitchen counters, washrooms and drainage.

It contains acetic acid which is an active cleaning agent. However, it can dull surfaces with certain wood finishes or wood floors.

Mix it with baking soda if you’re washing bathroom drains, let it sit for 20 minutes and flush with boiling water. This mixture can also be used to clean soap scum in bath tubs and showers.

If your apple cider vinegar is sitting on the shelf idle, now is the time to put in to good use.
